How much advance notice is required to book a captioner?

ConferTel guarantees coverage for all clients within 48 hours (2 working days) advance notice.

 

How can I set up captioning?

We can accept captioning requests by email to customercare@confertel.net and via phone to 866-930-4500.

 

What Internet browsers can be used?

We support current browser versions for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Safari.

 

Can the captioning be performed in a secure connection?

ConferTel captions via an SSL connection (128 bit secure socket layer) which is the same security in place for online credit card purchases. There is no performance oradded delay in the captions in an SSL or non-SSL event.

 

How fast do the captions arrive?

Internet streaming text of your realtime captions is nearly equivalent to television captioning. Internet captions arrive approximately 4-8 seconds after spoken dialogue.

 

How can I have captioning performed for a previously recorded event?

ConferTel can produce offline captioning for webcasts, web conferences, webinars and other recorded events in Quicktime (.mov) format.
